Who are Riva Home?

Riva Home is a soft furnishings and home interiors business based in Leeds, United Kingdom. We've been in business since 1973 and pride ourselves on the quality of our products and the way we support them with exceptional customer service.

Do you supply the general public?

Unfortunately, we only supply the trade, however many of our products are available from home stores and online retailers throughout the UK and beyond. If you need any help locating a stockist we would recommend a simple Google search of the product name to find a suitable stockist nearest you.

I'm a new customer, how do I buy from you?

It's very easy... all you need to do is click here and we'll take you straight to the account application page.

I already have an account, how do I log in?

If you have not received your login details, please call a member of our sales team on 0113 201 8800 and we will get these to you immediately.



What products do you sell?

We specialise in home furnishings including Bedding, Blinds, Curtains, Cushions, Fabric, Furniture, Lighting + Throws. This is a non-exhaustive list, and there are always new product categories in development to keep our offer relevant and refreshed.

Do you own the products listed on your website?

Yes! The vast majority of the products on our website were designed and manufactured by us, so you can be assured you're buying from the original manufacturer.

Can I buy your products in a retail store local to me?

We've been supplying independent and high-street retailers since 1973, so you'll find our products in stores all over the UK and beyond. Unfortunately, we do not hold specific data on which retailers stock which products so, if you're looking to browse our products in a nearby store, we'd recommend contacting local retailers directly to check they have our products before travelling.

Is the item in stock?

We share all stock availability here on our website, as well as information regarding future deliveries due over the coming weeks and months. Simply log in to learn more about our products and their availability or contact our sales team.
We like to make our customer's lives easy at Riva Home, so we offer a service to backorder (hold) any unavailable lines until the stock arrives back into the business.

Should we find that an item is out of stock at the time of processing, the balance will be sent to the delivery address originally requested as soon as the goods arrive in stock. Alternatively, the goods can be held at our warehouse until a further order is received and then consolidated at despatch. This configuration is set up when you open a trade account with us and can be updated at any point.
We also encourage all customers to place forward orders on product lines that are of particular interest to you. This ensures the stock is secured and allocated to you as soon as we receive delivery of the goods.


Account / Payment

Can I open a Credit Account with you?

Subject to the relevant checks based on your account application, we can offer you a Credit Account. If we are unable to provide you with a credit facility, do not worry, we can still support you with access to our products on a pro forma (pre-payment) basis using a credit or debit card.

I am not based in the UK. Do you accept foreign currency?

All prices shown on the site are in GBP Sterling and exclude VAT. Unfortunately, we only accept this currency at the moment.




How long does a trade order take to arrive?

We typically dispatch a trade order within 2-5 working days - and the lead time for delivery will largely depend on your location, the size of the order, peak trading periods and the carrier used. If an order is required urgently, please communicate this to our Sales Team and we will do all we can to fulfil it by your requested delivery date. It is also worth noting that any orders requiring cushion filling may take a little longer than the lead time we have quoted above.


What is the minimum order value?

There is no minimum order here at Riva Home, you can order as little or as much as you like. We also provide carriage-paid deliveries to all UK mainland addresses on orders received to the value of £400.00 (exclusive of VAT) and above. Any orders received below this value will automatically incur a carriage fee of £18.95.

What happens if I'm not in when my order arrives?

Not a problem. All of our courier options include 'Tracked' functionality which means you'll receive regular communication on the progress of your order, and you'll be sent texts and emails so you can control the shipment. This includes options to 'leave in a safe place' or to 'deliver on a different day'.


Can I choose when my item gets delivered?

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer 'nominated day' delivery - instead, we operate on one basic principle... to get the products to our customers as quickly as possible.



Republic of Ireland

How do I place an order for delivery to the Republic of Ireland?

You can use our Riva Home Trade Portal to place your order for delivery to the Republic of Ireland. You will need a Trade Portal account in order to do this - if you don’t have one yet, you can apply here.

When logged in, your location will be automatically detected and the relevant pricing will be shown to you based on your current location (using IP technology). If your delivery address differs to the location from which you placed the order (your IP), the product pricing and fulfilment/duty costs may change.


What currency will my order be placed in?

All orders must be placed in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and will be invoiced in the same currency. Unfortunately, we do not accept any other currency at this time.


Is duty included (DDP)?

Yes – all orders to the Republic of Ireland will be Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) which means Riva Home are covering all costs associated with delivering the products to your business address in the Republic of Ireland. The costs you see when using our Trade Portal from the Republic of Ireland include duty, but do not include VAT (until that is added at the checkout).


Is VAT included?

VAT is not included in the product costs you see on the page, but will be added to your order at the correct rate when you enter your delivery address at the checkout.

Why am I paying VAT?

Riva Home is importing the goods for you into the Republic of Ireland and therefore we are selling to you from within the Republic of Ireland after Riva Home has paid the duty. We are therefore legally required to charge Irish VAT on the sale.

I would like to return items to Riva Home, from the Republic of Ireland - how do I do it?

Please contact us to arrange a return of your items. We will then find the correct solution for you. Re-stocking fees and return delivery fees may apply.


Can I order on DAP incoterms and handle the duty myself?

No, unfortunately not. We only offer a DDP service to the Republic of Ireland.


How long does it take for delivery to Republic of Ireland?

For in-stock items, we anticipate a 5 to 15 working-day lead time as standard, from order placement to delivery. For back-ordered items, please add 5 to 15 working days to the advertised ‘back in stock’ dates shown.
